BEGINNERS MEDITATION I SERIES
Of all human activities, meditation is one of
the most natural and rewarding. It is the cornerstone of true spirituality.
The benefits our bodies and minds receive from meditation have been

and serenity.
The
Meditation I series is your foundation to inner peace. The tools you
will learn during this six week course will not only help you to establish
a daily meditation practice, but these tools will help you live a more
composed and fulfilled life. What you will learn here can be practiced
in all of your affairs. Grounding and releasing energy can create a
healthier home life, work environment, and an enhanced yoga practice.

me to the Hot House Yoga Studio. It is here that I began to realize

HEALING

The work begins with meditation, which leads into uncovering
your own "healing" abilities and then moves into the ability
to "read" with the Meditation III Series.
Feel
exhausted for no reason? Have moments in which it appears humanity has
gone insane? Come invest one day a week for five weeks, 125 dollars
and it just might change your view, not only of the world around you,
but of yourself. At the center of this series of classes is the old
adage, 'healer, heal thy se lf..." No you are not sitting listening
but up working on your fellow student, discovering that healing is something
you are probably doing much of your day.

HEALING
FESTIVAL
We
are so excited to offer a “Healing Festival” which gives
us an opportunity to share our gifts to anyone with the desire to experience
Healing energy. It’s not a class or a workshop, you are free to
come and go as you please.
The
Healing Energy works on all levels of your Spiritual being. If you receive
energy in a session, please be aware that it may continue to work for
several days, and please always drink lots of water to remove toxins
from your system, and encourage the removal of unneeded energy.
All
local healers from Healing Touch, Reiki Practitioners and/or Masters
and any other healing modality will be available to share their healing
experience as well as psychics, tarot card reads, crystal healing's,
acupuncture, cranial sacral and more, as well as healing one students

WOMENS
INTUITION
(Now

It
turns out hair color is not a determining factor for having fun - having
your space is.
Whether
your hair is blond, brown, gray or magenta, this series of six workshops
takes you through exercises and healing's to clear your space of apathy,
family limits, and other energies that may make you stressed and 'uptight'
(NOT FUN). To replace these energies the workshops teach you tools which
you can then use to create more space to use your enthusiasm and creative
energy for your goals, i.e. to have FUN.
This

40
DAYS TO PERSONAL REVOLUTION
(Weekly Meetings Saturdays at 6pm, unless otherwise stated)
The
program runs for just under a 6-week period starting on a Monday and
finishing on a Friday night. We'll wrap up the program with fiery festivities.
The 40 Day Personal Revolution Program ("40-Days") is progressive.
It is intensive with each week going deeper into areas of our lives
and giving us many opportunities for growth and personal transformation.
There are three areas that the program will cover- although you may
find that many other areas of your life are brought into the spotlight.
The three main areas we will experience are: 1) Going deep into your
power yoga practice; 2) Experiencing the commitment to a daily meditation
practice; and 3) Awareness and creation of a nutritional diet that suits
your body.
Instructors at Hot House Yoga will be completing the 40-Days Program
with you and will lead our group discussion held on Sunday afternoons.
These discussions are a mandatory part of the program, whether you attend
and share your experiences or just simply listen to the experiences
of others. The meetings are the heart and soul of the program, enabling
teachers and students to uplift each other and promote change.
Each
day you complete your meditations, studio or home practice and mark
it on the board in the studio using the following symbols. The basic
requirements of the course are:
1. Studio Practice (SP) - Each week you will be asked to complete five
Hot House Yoga Studio Practices. Practice at times that suit you. This
also includes any of the hour long practices. After completing a Hot
House Yoga studio practice you write the letters SP in the top diagonal
of the day it refers to.
2. Home Practice (HP) - Each week you will be asked to complete one
home practice either following the practice set out in the book or creatively
designing your own flow at home. The next day you come into the studio
after completing a home practice you write the letters HP in the top
diagonal for the day it refers to.
3. Rest Day ( R ) - Simply mark your favorite symbol on the board on
your next day in the studio.
4. Meditations ( M ) - Each day you will be asked to complete two meditations.
For each day you complete a meditation, you write M1 or M2 for how many
meditations you completed on the day it corresponds to. Each weekly
meditation is given in the text for you to follow.
5. Diet - You will use Baron’s book, "40 Days To Personal
Revolution," as a guide to designing a whole food diet suitable
for your own personal needs. In week 4, we complete a 3-day fruit fast
to cleanse the body as a gentle detox. This is not just a physical cleanse.
You will notice a great shift in your mental perception of the quantity
of food your body requires. During the fasting period you may take a
home practice and day off or practice lighter in class to conserve energy.
You are not required to mark on the board if you have followed your
diet.
6. Journaling- You are asked to keep your own journal during the 40-Days
and answer questions in the book at the end of each week. These questions
are to remain private unless you wish to share them and are simply thought
starters for great introspection.
Each
week our instructors are available to talk about your experience and
offer guidance if sought. There is also an abundance of friends who
are very supportive and enjoy the opportunity to share the challenges
and triumphs you will experience.
We ask that you are honest about your progression. This challenge is
very difficult and not everyone will be able to complete all requirements.
The most important thing is that you show up and give it a go. Should
you miss a practice or don’t have time for a meditation, we ask
that you don’t give up but rather continue the 40-Days with the
acceptance of yourself and the openness to get out of it what ever needs
to travel your way.

who reported their results from following the Blood Type Diet for a
period of one month or more, three out of four (71-78%) had significant
improvement in a variety of health conditions. Weight loss was the effect

digestive function, resistance to stress, overall energy and mental
clarity.
The
percentages (71-78%) of visitors reporting positive results are consistent

3-DAY
INTENSIVE FRUIT FAST (the
first sunday of each month)
Throughout
history , people have fasted for different reasons. Some fasted for
religious reasons, others, such as Gandhi, out of political protest,
and some because they knew it was intrinsically good for them. We do
a 3 day fruit fast once a month because active cleansing or fasting
is a way to allow your body to fully empty out and get clean, giving
your metabolic organs a chance to rest and renew themselves.
We
recommend doing a three-day cleanse at the beginning of the month. From
the morning of the first day, eat meals that contain only fruit. It
is best to use fresh fruit, but you can also have fruit juices and fruit
soups, such as tomato soup, as long as they are natural and additive-
free.
As
often as you can, take the time to prepare full meals, rather than just
grabbing pieces of fruit on the run, have fun with it so you feel fulfilled
and not deprived make smoothies, fruit relish, fruit salad. Eat small
amounts of fruit all day long to keep your blood sugar level, drink
plenty of water, and herbal tea. Enjoy

THE
BARKAN METHOD
June 21st - July 19th, 2009 - Fort Lauderdale,
FL We are proud to offer our third summertime Level I Teacher Training
program. Participants will be challenged by and amazed on this month-long
journey into the core of our sacred lineage.
James has been teaching Hot Yoga since 1981 and opened his first South
Florida school in 1983. His core teaching stems from his lineage in
Calcutta, however James incorporates various postures from different
styles of Hatha Yoga. The Barkan Method Hot Yoga and Hot Vinyasa sequences,
set in the tradition of Tantra Yoga, continue to change and evolve as
James unceasingly explores the Eight Limb Path in his personal practice
and life. Barkan became a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda in 1983
